![]() General Patton called the M1 Garand the greatest combat implement ever devised and that is high praise indeed. This rifle was one of the Garands called into the DCM back in the 1980’s and cherry picked by one of the volunteers. ![]() The beautiful walnut stock with striped figuring crisply shows the GAW inspection acceptance cartouche of George A Woody who was in charge of the Springfield Armory at the time the rifle was manufactured. The bore is excellent and the throat gauges out at a 1.5 which indicated the rifle was not shot that much. This is a great example of the famous US combat rifle that was carried throughout the war. ![]() In excellent hardly carried original condition, we have an April of 1944 Production M1 Garand Service rifle. ![]()
